Chicago: The Chicago Jazz Festival is a free annual tradition in Chicago held every Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1 – 4, at various locations including the Cultural Center, Millennium Park, and Grant Park. Also, watch as Navy Pier lights up the night on September 3, 10:15 p.m. with its annual Labor Day fireworks show.
Denver: Foodies and families will enjoy sampling the city’s finest restaurants at A Taste of Colorado held Sept. 2 - Sept 5 at Civic Center Park. Musical acts include Asia and the Neville Brothers. Admission is free; food tickets are $10 for a strip of 15.
Los Angeles: Members of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Screen Actors Guild join the LA/Long Beach Labor Coalition in a march from Broad and E Street south on Avalon Blvd to Banning Park in Wilmington on Monday, Sept. 5. The parade begins at 10 a.m. with a rally and picnic following at noon.
St. Louis: Come join the Labor Day Parade sponsored by the St. Louis Labor Council, AFL-CIO. It will be held in downtown St. Louis on Sept. 5 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Seattle: Bumbershoot, the biggest music and arts festival on the west coast, will take place over Labor Day weekend at the Seattle Center in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood. Enjoy the best in music, film, comedy, performance and visual arts. Ticket prices vary.
