Jazz Festival

Every September, Daytona hosts New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival. This three-day festival has been one of the community's most highly anticipated events for years. Located on Flagler Avenue, concert goers can travel from club to club taking in some of the country’s best music from September 21st to the 24th.


Daytona 500 NASCAR Race

This annual motor race is known the world over to be NASCAR's most prestigious, and has attracted massive crowds of onlookers in late February since 1959. Also known as "The Great American Race", this 500-mile race has the highest tv ratings for any auto ratings each year. You won’t want to miss this iconic event on Daytona Beach.


Coke Zero 400

The second Cup race held in Daytona each year is the Coke Zero 400. Every Independence Day weekend, the Coke Zero 400 attracts massive crowds, but is a slightly less hectic race than the Daytona 500. You can't go to Daytona without taking in at least one of these epic races, so buckle up!



Ocean Center

This convention center located right near the beach on Atlantic Avenue is the fifth largest center of its kind in Florida, and is home to many of Daytona’s major events. It’s only a short shuttle ride away from major local hotels.

Daytona Lagoon

If the weather is hot - which it often is - Daytona Lagoon is a fantastic place to spend the day, especially if you're traveling with family or groups of friends. If water isn't your thing, there's also mini-golf, arcades, laser tag, go-karts, and a climbing wall.

Beach Street

This local street is the definition of quaint. Prepare yourself for an onslaught of friendly merchants selling everything from delicious snacks to bright t-shirts, from antique shops to wonderful restaurants. This is a wonderful place to spend the day strolling around.



There are a number of fun and informative tours that will show you all sides of Daytona. If you'd like a self-guided experience, try out Big City Hunt's Self-Guided Scavenger Hunt.
