In the first weekend of May, Newark comes alive with colorful puppets and floats celebrating the local arts and culture scene.

Loring Park Art Festival

Every first weekend in August, join thousands of locals at this annual fine art festival in downtown Loring Park. With food, local artists, and other cultural celebrations, this is a beautiful way to spend the day with family and friends.

Minneapolis Monarch Festival

This annual celebration in early September every year honors the Monarch butterfly’s 2,300 mile migration. This festival also celebrates Minnesota and Mexico’s connection, with music, dance, food, and habitat awareness activities.

Minnehaha Falls

This natural waterfall is one of the most beautiful and well-known local landmarks. Situated in a lovely park, this is the perfect place to spend the day with family and friends.

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Perhaps Minneapolis’s most famous landmarks, the Sculpture Garden is always a beautiful place to take a stroll, no matter the season. Make sure to bring your camera – the sculptures provide the perfect backdrop for photos!

Walker Art Center

This multidisciplinary public contemporary art gallery and center in Lowry Hill is one of the country’s most famous. This institution sees an annual 700,000 visitors to their permanent collection of more than 13,000 works, so plan ahead!
