Dominican Carnival

Every Sunday of the month of February, carnival parades and lively entertainment take over Puerto Plata’s city streets. Hearkening back to the Spanish forefathers, this event has been taking place since 1520.

Festival Procigar

This annual mid-February festival sees hundreds of visitors to this event which includes beach parties, merengue classes, cigar workshops, and a golf tournament.

Caribbean Cigar Night

The Dominican Republic is known for producing the best cigars in the world, and this late March event celebrates that. Join visitors from far and wide to learn about and try some of the biggest and most prestigious cigar brands in the world, along with fine dining and live music.


Campo de Futbol Leonel Placido

This local soccer stadium is a wonderful place to spend the day in the sun while catching a game!

Victorian Times

This beautiful public park is the center of local life, and also a fascinating place to see both victorian and colonial architecture side-by-side. The center romantic victorian gazebo is the perfect spot for photos!
